As an 18 year old girl who had never traveled alone or been outside of the United States, I can highly recommend this program. I never felt unsafe, and my three months in Huancayo were some of the best in my life. You will be SO welcomed at home (Mari was like my mother and my best friend) and at the school (I guarantee that the kids will LOVE you). No matter where you come from, you have so much to offer. The kids love new games, new art projects, new music, and new culture.
During my time in Huancayo, I got to experience some of the highlights of Peru as well as typical Peruvian life.
